"Before I took the Balance class, I experienced chronic neck, low back, hip, and gluteal tension, in spite of the fact that I received weekly chiropractic adjustments. While taking the class, my tension decreased significantly. The tools I learned in the class also enabled me to teach basic sitting skills to patients which helped eliminate a major cause of recurring back pain for many of them.
I believe that the model of spinal and overall skeletal alignment taught in the Balance Class has the potential to advance chiropractic's effectiveness. This is because the model taught in Balance is based on actual people from cultures all over the world who are pain-free. Basing your understanding of the spine on a model that is empirically derived has the advantage of producing a more efficient weight bearing structure for the human frame than the conventional model taught in chiropractic colleges today. I urge all chiropractors who would like to enhance their skill in improving spinal function while helping to turn around the current downward spiral of posture in our culture to take this class."

"Balance has helped many of my patients, and it has played a pivotal role in my own health and well being. Dana is an excellent teacher, patient and fun. In Chiropractic College, we learned that Wolfe's Law states that when bone is held in an abnormal state of alignment over time, it begins to attract calcium salts to the surrounding soft tissues, leading to degenerative arthritis. Many people accept arthritis as a fact of aging. Yet if we learn to be in structural Balance, with muscle flexibility and joint mobility, we can enjoy optimal structural function. I'm very grateful that Dana Davis teaches the Balance class, providing this opportunity to all of us!"

"After a severe low back injury caused by pulling up bamboo roots in my yard, I had to curtail many of my former activities and give up others altogether. Daily low back pain interfered with sleep, got worse with just standing for long periods, raking, pruning, over-head watering etc., and became sciatica after 40 minutes or so of driving. None of the various therapies I tried over 4 years helped much until I took the Balance workshop: during the 6 weeks of the course my symptoms either cleared up or significantly improved, and improvement continued for several months. Now I'm digging, shoveling, backpacking, carrying 50 lb. sacks without a problem. I recommend the Balance workshop to all my patients with low back pain or sciatica."

"First, this class has eliminated the lower back muscular pain that I pretty much felt chronically for the past few years. Thank you! I have found the sleeping, sitting, and standing (and walking) in Balance lessons very useful and am now very aware when I stand with my pelvis forward and back arched backward (the position I used to think was standing up straight). I can now sit in a chair without a back comfortably. I never could do that without the class. I am also more comfortable in my car seat."
