Straighten Your Upper Spine Workshops

Open to graduates of the Balance Your Body Foundations Series

Dates: Tuesdays, July 20, July 27, and August 3 from 9:30-10:30 am
Location: Sonoma Body Balance, 210 Vallejo St., Petaluma
Cost: $15 per class paid in advance; $20 at the door; $40 for all 3 workshops (reservations required)

What's next after the Foundations Series? This workshop will focus on Balance stretches and exercises to straighten the upper spine as well as enhance flexibility and strength, and decrease tension in the neck and shoulders. We will work with tools for self-massage, stretches and strengtheners to enhance the mobility of the spine. Throughout the stretches we will review the basics from the Balance Foundations Series, such as sitting, standing and lying down. Increase your comfort level and improve your posture at the same time!

In the East Bay:

Yoga in Balance workshops

Open to all

Dates: Saturdays, June 26 and July 31, 1:30-3:30 pm
Location: 4th Street Yoga, 1809 4th Street, Berkeley
Cost: $35 per workshop if paid at least 1 week in advance, $45 at the door

In these workshops we will work with the postural alignment guidelines of the Balance Method to help lengthen the spine, reduce back and joint pain and increase energy. We'll do some active yoga for increased flexibility, strength and balance. We'll end with some restorative yoga, which gives you an experience of deep relaxation where you can allow your body to naturally heal, and falling asleep is welcomed!
